’STRUTH

“When I was a kid mum said I wasn’t allowed to say struth”, said Howard Langmead, Anglican priest and comedian, “But God doesn’t seem to mind”.

In ’Struth a trinity of comedians are on a mission from God to boldly go where angels fear to tread. And that’s God’s truth. Howard Langmead, Bill Beagley and Mark Gladman – two Anglican priests and a youth minister - storm the hallowed halls of Collins Street Baptist Church to reveal the lighter side of life, laughter, God and truth.

Revd Howard Langmead has performed comedy in pubs, clubs and churches for ten years and is a veteran of six Melbourne Comedy Festivals. He has frequent appearances on ABC radio and facilitates Laughter Workshops and a weekly Laughter Club.

Revd Bill Beagley is a comedian, occasional prison chaplain and vicar of West Coburg who returns for his fourth comedy festival.

Mark Gladman is a regular performer on the Brisbane comedy circuit, and was a Queensland state finalist in Triple J's Raw Comedy Search 2006. He works as a youth minister in Brisbane and is a cross-denominational Christian speaker.

’Struth is clean, funny and suitable for anyone, whether they go to church or not.
