Bio
In 1995 Howard Langmead began performing comedy in pubs, clubs and
comedy festivals. From March 2001 to January 2004 he had a weekly
commentary spot on 3AK, and has provided occasional commentary segments
and interviews on various other radio and television programs.
Formerly
a primary school teacher, Howard is vicar of St
Paul’s Caulfield North, AKA Southern Cross Ministries,
a vibrant charismatic Anglican Church. Howard's mission is to make
God and people laugh!
His previous parishes were
St. John's West Brunswick, an inner urban church that defied
the national trends by steadily growing; St. Matthew's Prahran,
for 12 years, and the parish of Corio, Anakie and Balliang. (Yes,
he was 'Vicar of Anakie'!) Healing is an integral part of his ministry.
He has preached (& prayed with a modicum of success) at various
healing services. For many years he was on the team at St. Paul's
Cathedral healing ministry.
In
December 2001 Howard accepted the role as an angel on the roof of
St. Paul's Cathedral. Wearing a gold sequined loincloth, large red
and gold wings, and very little else, he attracted much attention
from Christmas shoppers in the city of Melbourne.
